Here is a simple step by step guide on how to care for your Magnetic Rubber.
Surface preparation
Be aware that the surface where the magnetic sheet is to be applied is free from moisture, dirt and any other type of dust. This applies to the magnetic sheet side also.
Application
The magnetic rubber sheet is flexible in many ways but especially how it is cut - you can use scissors, a roller cutter, die cut or even a trimming knife.
Allow the magnetic sheet to warm to room temperature, place one edge of the sheet on the metallic surface and the remaining portion of the sheet should then follow and adhere itself. Yes, it’s that easy! Once you have applied the magnetic sheet, don’t attempt to pull it into place to reposition it, this runs the risk of stretching the material. All you have to do is remove the sheet and start again until you have it how you desire.
Maintenance and cleaning
Don’t worry, it is totally normal for moisture to gather between the sheet and the surface, although it is vital it is removed at least once a week so that the moisture and any unwanted dirt can be wiped free from the metallic surface. Just use a soft cloth, warm water and a mild detergent and you are good to go! Be sure to avoid using this product on non-metallic body fillers, simulated wood grain siding or repainted surfaces and new vehicle finishes that contain uncured paint.
Storage
Whilst the magnetic sheet isn’t in use, loosely roll the sheet up to a three-inch diameter with the magnetic side on the inside, this will help when the time comes to re-attach the sheet. If you would like to store the sheet flat, don’t place anything on the top that may damage the surface.
