Ri-Mark Etched Glass series is the ideal choice for windows decoration with etched effect, ensuring privacy and allowing natural light transmission.
This frosted effect etched glass film is made with polymeric calendered films (PTA), UV stabilised, manufactured in such a way to ensure a uniform matt appearance, with a colour stability up to 7 years for outdoor use and up to 9 years indoor use.
The very cohesive solvent-based adhesive provides an excellent dimensional stability and water resistance. The kraft liner is designed for trouble-free plotter cutting on a wide variety of computerised sign cutting equipment. Alternatively, the Airflow liner provides an easier product installation. Available in frosted appearance (PTA).

TYPICAL USE

CONSTRUCTION
- Face film:
80 μm calendered polymeric vinyl (=PTA) - Adhesive:
Permanent clear solvent-based acrylic
Removable clear solvent-based acrylic - Release liner:
clay coated kraft paper 120 g/m2 or
Airflow liner: micro-embossed PE coated kraft paper 140 g/m2.
CONVERTING METHOD
Specially developed for trouble-free plotter cutting on a wide variety of computerised sign cutting equipment. Can also be printed with solvent, eco-solvent, latex, and UV inkjet printing presses.
APPLICATION METHOD/INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Wet application method is recommended for products with kraft liner, while dry application is recommended with Airflow liner. Application temperature above 10°C on clean and degreased substrates such as glass and acrylic panels.
EXPECTED DURABILITY
The expected vertical outdoor durability in Central Europe (zone 1) is:
• 7 years for PTA (frosted appearance)
This information is based on real file experience and artificial aging according to ISO 4892-2.
Note: Exposure to severe temperature and ultra-violet light will cause a quicker deterioration.
This applies also to polluted area, high altitude, horizontal applications, and south-facing exposure in north hemisphere.
SHELF LIFE
Shelf life is 2 years, when stored at 23 °C and 50 % relative humidity conditions.
Higher temperatures and/or humidity levels will reduce product shelf life.
